The mission of LCCC’s SGA is to connect, represent, guide and advocate for the students of LCCC, by informing, empowering, bestowing knowledge and improving student recognition on campus. SGA senators will provide positive leadership by example and mentor future students to build a foundation and leave a lasting legacy for future student leaders.
What is SGA?
The Student Government Association consists of 19 students from the Cheyenne campus that work together to address the concerns and needs of students. The senate makes recommendations for changes and improvements to the administration. Goals are accomplished through committee meetings; SGA committees include: Executive Council, Student Fee Allocation, Graduation, Diversity, Food Service Advisory, Visibility, College Community Center, Service, Student Conduct, College Council, and ad hoc committees as needed.
What is the time commitment?
Typically, senators will devote about 8 hours a week; 2 hours of desk duty, 2 hours for mandatory quorum meetings, 2 hours for committee work, and 2 hours for other activities.
Quorum meetings are mandatory meetings Tuesdays and Thursdays 12:15-1pm.
