One of the most obvious questions that comes to mind when evaluating a web-based data collection tools is: How will my data be protected? Here at WorldAPP, we treat your concerns very seriously. We are dedicated to developing the most secure enterprise-class applications and ensuring the security of your data collection operations. WorldAPP rigorously addresses the three pillars of information security: people, processes, and technology.

• People - WorldAPP's team of talented developers and system administrators works hard to deliver a secure application in a secure environment. Our selection of training programs ensures that your people have the knowledge of how to use an application and how to protect data within their accounts if required.
• Processes - With WorldAPP all work routines and processes are secure. We have different levels of access, monitoring, back-up and recovery procedures to ensure that confidential data remains confidential. Key Survey is an official licensee of the distinguished trustE Privacy Seal Program and certified by the EU Safe Harbor Privacy Program, with endorsement to securely host consumer data.
• Technology - Key Survey is designed to meet high security standards. The users have access to a broad range of security features that allows them to control account access and password-protect surveys and reports. The application itself is virus-immune and we have all the necessary firewalls, IDS, monitoring, failover, and redundancy equipment in place. Password protection policy

Access to data, customer information, and system administration is limited by username and password or administrative privileges.

Enterprise users can individually customize a password protection policy using a built-in interface to ensure compliance with existing corporate policies.

Additionally, you can apply password protection to any survey or report and use advanced features to secure survey data with a 128-bit SSL encryption.

Data backup

WorldAPP has daily, weekly, and monthly backups. This information is stored for 15 days, 5 weeks, and 3 months, respectively. Backups are stored on and off site. Several servers are available as failover servers in case of a complete primary server failure, so you never lose your data.

Business continuity and disaster recovery

All locations from which we provide our services are covered by our business continuity and IT disaster recovery plan.

Our worst case scenario (server burnout) has our servers up and running within 12 hours. We are in the process of growing our platform architecture across multiple data centers in case of data center failure. This would allow a maximum of 4 to 8 hours downtime. We actually expect 1 hour or less downtime in case of the loss of 1 data center.

Privacy protection

WorldAPP is a certified licensee of the trustE® Privacy Program and abides by the EU Safe Harbor Framework as outlined by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Union.
