Key Survey, WorldAPP's flagship product, was found to comply with stringent federal standards governing disabled access. Under so-called Section 508 standards, U.S. agencies must give disabled persons the same access to information technology that people without disabilities enjoy.

For users of WorldAPP's globally recognized technology, Section 508 compliance expands their reach, guaranteeing they can seek feedback from a larger, more-diversified cross-section of opinion, experience and need.

Independently tested and reviewed in September, the surveys produced using Key Survey were deemed fully functional and accessible using both the JAWS for Windows 9.0 official release and the new JFW 10 Public Beta. JFW, a screen-reader technology, gives blind users access to a computer's text applications.

To earn 508 compliance, WorldAPP worked with Strand Management Solutions, Inc. and Larry L. Lewis, Jr. of Flying Blind, LLC, who certified Key Survey as Section 508-compliant on Sept. 29. Lewis, a blind businessman, brought some 30 years of adaptive-technology user experience to the process.
