Surveys Home

Surveys page is a home page of your account where you can find yourself after login.

  1. Main Navigation Menu - menu that allows you to navigate between the main account sections.
  2. Folders List - is located in the left pane. You can create custom folders for different surveys to keep them structured and ordered in the way you need.
  3. Surveys List - list of surveys located in the center pane.
  4. Survey Information - the right pane lists survey information such as number of respondents, dates when the survey is active, link to the survey and other.


Main Navigation Menu is located at the very top of your account and allows you to navigate to the following account sections:

  • Surveys - is a home page of your account. It allows you to manage your surveys and track response rate of each survey.
  • Reports - this section allows you to view and manage survey responses.
  • Contacts - click this button to access the Contact Manager.
  • Portal - click this button to access the ParticipantPortal.
  • Dashboard - here you can view and analyze data from any of your surveys in real time with KeySurvey's integrated QlikView reporting functionality.

Folders Pane is a tree that contains two first-level folders by default: Main and Trash.

Main Folder Menu has the following options:

  • New Folder allows you to create a new folder in the selected folder.
  • Rename allows you to rename a selected folder.
  • Move To allows you to move a folder with its reports to a selected one.
  • Delete allows you to delete a selected folder.
Note

  • Surveys are sorted automatically in ascending order according to the date of survey creation(newly created survey will be on the very top of the tree).
  • Folder name is hyperlinked and shows the list of surveys in the center pane if clicked.
  • Number of surveys that folder includes is displayed in brackets next to the folder name.
  • Clicking '+' next to the folder name rolls over the list of nested folders.
  • You cannot rename, move or delete default folders (Main and Trash)
  • You cannot move custom folders if they include nested folders.

Trash This folder is a temporary storage for the deleted surveys. It includes the following options:

  • Restore allows you to restore a selected survey.
  • Delete permanently deletes selected survey from your account.
  • Original Location this column shows folders the surveys were located before deleting to 'Trash'.
  • Date Delete this column contains dates when the surveys were deleted to 'Trash'.


Surveys List pane displays the syrveys that reside in the folder selected from the Folders Pane. Here you can manage surveys by deleting them, moving to another folders or assign color categories.

Note

Click on the survey to select it. Hold the Ctr and Shift (for PC) or Command (for MAC) keyboard buttons to perform multiple survey selection.
This list can be sorted by survey name, date of creation, survey end date or survey status. Surveys List pane contains the following options:

  • - opens the "New Survey" dialog box that allows you to create new survey using different options. For more details consult the New Survey help page.
  • - allows you to move a specified survey to the selected folder.
  • - deletes selected survey to 'Trash'.
  • - allows you to apply different color categories to the surveys for quick survey identification or grouping. More...

The dropdown box, located at top of the Surveys List pane allows sorting surveys in the following ways: 'Active First', 'Date Created Descending', 'Date Created Ascending', 'Descending by Name', 'Ascending by Name', 'End Date Descending', 'End Date Ascending'.

Active Surveys are marked with the green bullet points. This means that they are still open for respondents and receiving responses.
Inactive Surveys are marked with the grey bullet points. This means that they are closed - either the end date or the limit of responses have been reached.


Survey Information pane shows information per selected survey. It contains the following options:

  • Edit - click this button to edit selected survey.
  • Launch - redirects you to the survey Launch page.
  • Report - click this button to view the report for the selected survey.
  • Print - prints the selected survey to the PDF.
  • Thumbnail Icon - displays the small survey preview. Click the magnifier icon in the bottom right corner of the thumbnail for the full screen survey preview.
  • Theme - this survey detail shows the name of the survey layout theme if any. For more details consult the Survey Layout help chapter.
  • Completed - shows you the number of completed responses, those who clicked the 'Submit' button.
  • In Progress - shows you the number of respondents who opened your survey and fill out at least one page. If your survey contains only one page, respondents who never clicked the 'Submit' button will never be registered.
  • Not Started - this line show the number of respondents who were invited to participate in the survey via the Email Survey Distribution or respondents of the Password Protected survey.
  • Response Rate - is a value of the total number of the completed surveys multiplied by 100 and divided by total number of completed and incompleted surveys.
  • Click Through - is a value that displays how many times a survey link has been opened. You can reset this value by clicking the Reset link.
  • Schedule Reminder - this option appears if your survey has been launched via the Email Survey Distribution and there is at least one incomplete response. For more details consult the Email Reminder chapter.
  • Start Date - select the date for the survey to be opened for respondents. The default date is the date of survey creation.
  • End Date - select the date for the survey to be automatically closed for respondents. The default close date is a month after the date of survey creation.
  • Notes - shows you the notes of the survey if any. To add notes click the Add link or navigate to the survey Name page.
  • Display Title - shows you the survey title if any. To add survey title go to the survey Name page.

Search Use this option to find surveys you need. Type the survey name, title or introduction and click the button to start searching.
You can use AND and OR logic operators for complex expressions. AND operator is applied by default.
