This section explains what the "Launch Survey" is and why you should use it
What: This feature allows you to manage your survey distribution.
Why: On this page you can set the period and the way of survey distribution.
We are about to describe you the "Launch Survey" page controls
URL If you select this option, a regular survey link beginning with our domain name is generated.
IP address Advanced option. When this option is active, our domain name is replaced in the link by the IP address of our server.
Customize URL Advanced option. Select this radio button if you do not want our application domain name or IP address to appear in the survey link. For instructions on how to generate your new survey link consult 'Customize URL' help chapter.
Master Survey URL In this text box the URL
of your survey is indicated. You can copy the URL and paste it as a
link
on your website.
Note:
This is a general survey link, if you try to email it to your respondents,
the responses will be anonymous or overwritten depending on your
survey rules. Please, use our Email Distribution system to email your survey.
In this case a unique link will be automatically generated for each
respondent.
Secure connection Select the check box to secure the data obtained during the survey by encrypting it. For more details look in the 'Secure Connection' help chapter.
Start Survey Select the date and time you want this survey to become activated relative to EST time zone.
End Survey Select the date and time you want this survey to end relative to EST time zone.
End Survey When the completed number equals X. Automatically stops survey, when responses reach number X. To save your input, click Save.
Time Limit Close and submit after X mins If your subscription plan includes 'Education Package' option you can set time limit for respondents to fill in the survey. When time is up, the survey will be submitted automatically. To save your input, click Save.
'Send Expire Alert' Select this option if you want to be notified before this survey gets expired. Click Edit Email to compose your alert message.
E-mail survey distribution Allows you to email survey to addresses you enter manually, to email survey to addresses you import from data sources or to email survey to members from your address book.
Password survey protection Allows you to secure your survey with individual passwords.
Upload responses Allows you to upload responses in your survey.
HTML code Provides webmaster with automatically written HTML code that includes a link to this survey or a pop-up survey. Use this option when you want to gather survey responses from visitors or from one of each X visitors to your company's website.
- If your survey has been distributed via our email system and one of the three rules on the 'Survey Rules' page has been set, partially completed responses can be saved and included into a report.
- If you need to get partially completed responses of the survey that has not been distributed via our email system and include them into a report you should set 'Ignore response and do nothing' or 'Override with response values' on the ' Survey Rules' page.
- While taking the survey via Master URL the cookies are used to identify the respondents.
- While taking the survey via Master URL from the same computer in Internet Explorer several times in a row respondents must make 10 sec pauses.
- Back Takes you back to survey 'Test' page. The data will be saved.
