This section explains what the "Add image" feature is and why you should use it

What: Our application allows you to add images to your survey questions and answer choices. You can also specify a URL to open a web page after clicking on the image.

Why: This can be used to show your respondent pictures of products, concept drawings, and samples. This is sometimes easier than trying to describe using only question text. It is also great for comparisons.

We are about to show you step by step how to implement this feature

To add an image you need to click the [Add Image] button next to the question on Surveys > Questions page or while editing or adding a new question and follow the steps below:

  1. Choose an image to appear with the question.
    • Click [Browse...] to find an image file saved locally on your computer.
    • You can upload files with the extensions jpg, jpeg, bmp, gif or image files with no extension (for MacOS files).
    • The image size should be under 300 kb.
    • Note, if the image is saved in CMYK colorspace, it may be not displayed correctly as well as in most web applications. The colorspace to use should be RGB one.
    • Click [Save] to upload the 'question' image.
  2. Specify image position relative to question and answer choices (left, top, right). In top position you can set the alignment of the image using the drop-down box (left, center, right) and add arrows selecting corresponding check boxes (Up Left, Bottom Left, Up Right, Bottom Right). If you need you can provide the image with a short description and specify the URL of the page that will open when clicking the image.
  3. Choose images to appear next to your answer choices. Provide short descriptions and indicate URLs for linking below each image if needed.
Click [Save] to upload selected images and save URL settings.
Note In order not to break the page layout, the images should be uploaded for all answer choices within a question.

Click [Preview] to see how your uploaded images look.

If you wish to remove an image, click the Remove link below the image.

Note

You cannot load an image into your question by using a web url, you can only load an image by browsing to it on your own hard disk.

You may also make the image link to a web page using HTML.
