Step by step implementation of this feature
This section explains what the "Select Layout"
is and why you should use it
What: This feature allows to choose a layout for the survey you
are working on.
Why: This feature is used for changing colors, fonts in your
survey and uploading your own buttons.
We are about to show you step by step how
to implement this feature
To edit the survey layout use these options:
- Click on the color theme of your choice to apply it to your survey.
- [Custom Colors Layout]
Takes you to the Basic Layout Editor
where you can
set the format and colors of all survey element
using color palette and font controls.
To work with layout editor you need to click
[Custom Colors Layout] on the 'Select Layout' page, and then:
- Use the 'Select data to customize' radio buttons to
designate the appearance for each item listed.
- After selecting a radio button, indicate what would you like to
customize by selecting either the 'Text' or 'Background' radio button.
- Use the color palette to manually select and customize the color scheme for
the selected data element.
- Left-click to select an existing color and apply it to the selected data element.
- If you know the specific color code you need,
enter the code in the 'Color number' box
and click [Apply].
- Use the 'Font size' drop-down box to set the font size for the selected data element.
- Select one of the 'Text' check boxes to set the font format
('Bold', 'Italic', or 'Underline') for the selected data element.
- Select one of the 'Alignment' radio buttons to specify
text alignment ('Left', 'Center' or 'Right') for the selected data element.
- When finished, click [Save] to apply the new styles to your survey.
- Click [Preview] to see what your survey looks like
after you have made the changes.
- [CSS Styles Layout] Takes
you to the Advanced Layout Editor where you
can work directly
with CSS style.
To open the advanced layout editor you need to click
[CSS Styles Layout] on the 'Select Layout' page, and then:
- Input new parameters into the 'Layout Format' field.
The layout presented is the scheme of the survey selected in the
'Survey' field.
You can edit the existing scheme using standard CSS parameters and/or add your own css style
sheet directly into this text box. Note that setting up incorrect CSS parameters may damage the appearance of your survey and report in PDF format.

- Click [Save] to apply any style changes to your survey.
- Click [Preview] to see your survey and review the changes.
- To restore the default settings, click [Default].
- Click [Add to Library] to edit your own CSS style and add the modified theme to the library.
- Customize the face and rollover survey buttons, if needed by clicking
Upload your own buttons.
You can substitute them with the buttons of your own.
To substitute the button with the one that is saved locally
on your computer,
click [Browse], double-click the file to select it and click Upload.
- To change your buttons text choose HTML buttons option. Then provide your text for the button you need.
Note
You can use only .gif files for your buttons.
To preview your survey, click [Preview].
To restore the default settings, click [Default].
To apply custom CSS style sheet templates to your survey or create your own theme by editing an existing theme from the library,
click [Theme Library]. For details consult Theme Library help character
[Back] Takes you back to the previous page.
[Next] Redirects you to the survey 'Rules' page.
