Education Package is used to conduct examination test for students. Keep in mind that a survey can be regarded as an examination paper on the following conditions: if a time limit to fill in a questionnaire is set and the answers are supplied with point values (at least one of the point values should not equal zero). If these two conditions are met you will be able to view the total points for each student in the report.
To use this option follow the steps below:
- Design your questionnaire and apply points to the answers using 'Branch on range' tool. Keep in mind that you can do this only to question types of 'Pick One or Other', 'Pick One with Comment', 'Check all that apply', 'Dropdown box', 'List box', 'Rate Along the Scale' and 'Compare One Against Another'. For details consult ' Branch on range' help chapter.
- Go to page 'Launch Survey'.
- Use the 'Time limit' box to input interval in minutes for respondents to fill in the questionnaire. Click [Save] to save your input. Keep in mind that minimum time limit is 5 minutes for the whole examination test.
- Launch your questionnaire.
- After the responses have been received, go to the 'Report Home' page and click the Run Report button to view results.
- The report includes the 'Total score' item. It is automatically generated and contains total points scored by the respondents (based on summarized values on selected answers). 'Total score' can be regarded as a question. You can hide, move, filter it etc.
- On the report Summary page click View next to Total score item to see the list of respondents numbers with total points scored by each person.
- Click the respondent link-number to view the report by respondent. On this page the 'Total score' item contains points scored by this respondent.
Note
- Setting values for each answer using 'Branch on range' tool should be the last thing applied to a question. If you modify the question in any way, the points scored by each respondent could be calculated inaccurately.
- The 'Total score' item will not be displayed in the customized reports that were created before setting up the 'Education Package' feature. You will need to create new customized report from the standard one in order to view the 'Total score' question.
- When taking the survey, all the responses entered within the time limit will be saved. After the time limit is over, the respondent is not allowed to come back to this survey and change any responses.
